I am a passionate amateur open water swimmer since 2021. Lake Geneva (lac Léman) has changed my life forever, teaching me open water swimming and cold water swimming. And I feel it is time to show it my love with real acts. You can help me!

Léman is the largest lake in Europe and a natural gem washing the shores of Switzerland and France, home to a fragile ecosystem and a paradise for water sports and leisure. Yet pollution and consequences of climate change haven't spared it, and every year volunteers and professional divers pick out tons (yes, it is not an exaggeration) of garbage from its azure waters. Most of this work is organised by Association pour la sauvegarde du Léman – a Geneva-based association that carries out a vast array of activities including educational excursions for schoolchildren, exhibitions featuring Leman's flora and fauna, conferences, and, of course, Net'Léman, the annual cleaning campaign all around the lake featuring volunteers and professionals.

Léman has inspired me to discover what is becoming my lifelong passion for open water swimming, the year round, and to constantly improve my swimming skills. This August I am taking on a milestone challenge: I am swimming from Nyon (Swiss shore) to Yvoire (French shore), a 7 km stretch across the lake, with the support and security provided by Lake Geneva Swimming Association. I've been preparing and testing myself and I feel ready.

I want to swim with a purpose: to collect CHF 3'000 for Association pour la sauvegarde du Léman to support their work and show my love for this incredibly beautiful lake that makes me thankful for every day lived on its shores.
