Tomorrow, I’ll be running the Michael Manning Memorial Dunshaughlin 10k - my first ever 10k race. I only started running this January, having not run since first year for one month in secondary school, and I never imagined I’d get this far. Huge thanks to the amazing support from Dunshaughlin Athletics Club for helping me believe I could do this.

I’m running to raise funds for the Mater Hospital Foundation Dublin, a place that means a great deal to me and my family. Both of my parents suffered strokes - my dad is a survivor - and the care they received at the Mater was exceptional. I also attend the hospital’s audiology and ENT departments myself, and I want to give back in honour of my late mother.
