January 23, 2021. My Family and I were able to raise just enough money to bury my dad with a very small graveside funeral. Unfortunately we still don't have a headstone for him and we are still struggling with massive bills from falling behind due to the pandemic and also from the major loss of income from my dad. My husband works 3 jobs and my brother is in the process of looking for a 2nd job but its just not enough to get caught up and after the sudden passing of my dad we had no choice but to shutdown his beloved business of over 20 years. I know so many people are struggling but any donation would help or if you could even just share/repost it would be greatly appreciated. Today December 18th around 8:45 pm my Father lost his battle with covid. He had suffered a major heart attack after being put on a ventilator and there was nothing more they could do.The nurse did a conference video call so we could all say goodbye they told us he would be able to hear us and just like the fighter he was he held on long enough for us to talk to him and say our goodbyes. My father passed away shortly after but we were all there with him. I am updating this page in hopes of raising enough money to cover funeral expenses as my father did not have life insurance and also to help my family get back on our feet and some how navigate our life without him. My family and I are devastated and don't know what we are going to do without my father as he was our everything. We are completely heart broken he fought so hard for so many years battling cancer and struggling for almost 8 years. The only comfort we feel is knowing he is no longer in pain and suffering. Heaven has gained an angel tonight. Please continue to keep my family in your prayers as my mother is not handling the news well and she has 3 heart conditions. My Name is Danielle and my father Tom is the true definition of a fighter. He has been battling stage 4 colon cancer which has also spread to his lungs for almost 8 years. Through those 8 years he has continued to work as he has owned his own business for over 20 years. Even when he was sick from chemo or working with a chemo pump on him for 3 days at a time he never gave up. We call my father Superman because he has continued to fight no matter what challenges have been thrown at him. My father bought a new truck last year in hopes to try and improve his business as the business is something he wants to leave to us to have when he is no longer with us. The shutdown from the pandemic happened weeks later. Even with the loss of work due to the shutdown my father and my family somehow made it work. There are 8 of us total in the home with only my father who runs the business and my husband who works 3 jobs. Since the pandemic they have both lost alot of work contributing to our struggles towards the end of the summer. We are now behind on our morgage and almost all of our monthly bills. In the midst of our struggles my father came up positive for covid and is now in the hospital/ICU with double pneumonia (covid pneumonia) The covid has also affected his heart as he also has afib. His heart rate is high and his oxygen is low. We are receiving daily updates but they have told us he is very very sick. We are all extremely worried and to make things even worse my father does not even have life insurance if the unimaginable were to happen. My family and I are trying to stay positive but it is very hard when now our Superman isn't here to help us through it all.
