My fathers early onset Parkinsons Disease/Dementia
Donation protected
My father about two years ago started behaving a bit out of the ordinary. We have been seeing doctors about his condition and everything seemed okay for a while. He was able to work and go about his life normally, but recently has seen a decline in his cognitive functions. This was due to a rare case of early onset Parkinson's disease and Dementia. At only fifty-three years old, the decline in his functioning has gotten worse and worse to the point where simple tasks frustrate and confuse him. He's unable to drive or even do his job to any extent. Focusing and trying to absorb information has seemed almost impossible for him to the point of extreme frustration and anxiety. It's extremely hard for him to talk about without welling up, and not only because it's hard for him, but he knows it's hard for all of our family. Due to this hindrance he is unable to work at the moment. He was not able to get short term medical leave and will be losing his insurance, so it has left us in a position of not having any way of funding his medical expenses. I absolutely hate to ask for money from anyone, but our position has left us without a real choice. It hurts more than anything to see him like this, and it doesn't help that money is an issue too. My family would be BEYOND grateful if you are fortunate enough to help us in the funding of his medical needs. If you can't help monetarily, your prayers are more than helpful as well. Thank you so much for any help you can provide. It really means the world to my family and I. We love him so much and hate to see him in this condition. Thanks again, we can't thank you all enough.
