Dear friends and compassionate souls,

My name is Yazz and I am an American Citizen raised in Gaza and living now in California. I work as an engineer and I am 28 years old.

I am reaching out to you in a desperate plea for help as my family faces the relentless horrors of the war in Gaza. The situation has forced us to make the heartbreaking decision to evacuate, but the cost of reuniting our separated family is beyond our means.

Some of my family members managed to escape to Egypt, but the exorbitant fees imposed on Palestinian refugees have surged to an unimaginable $7,500 USD. This financial barrier is tearing my family apart once they were able to collect that total amount to leave, as even infants are not spared and must pay this exorbitant amount for safety. This amount is only to cover any costs now that they are out to safety.

Here is a message from my nephew Jamal Zaid Alashi:

"I'm Jamal Mohammed a Palestinian child from Gaza I'm 12 years old .

Due the war in Gaza, my family lost everything, our house, work, cars, our neighborhood and all our dreams

my family and I were forced to leave our home due to the difficult circumstances ,

First we fled to south Gaza to save ourselves in Rafah, then we moved to Egypt because we didn’t feel safe

Now we don’t have neither house nor work, we need your help to rebuild our life."

The conditions in Gaza have deteriorated to the point where survival is impossible. They are grappling with a severe lack of water, food, and no electricity, making each day a battle for existence. The escalating cost of evacuation compounds our struggles, leaving us with no choice but to turn to the kindness and generosity of those who can help.

Your support can bring my family back together and provide them with the safety and security they so desperately need. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to reuniting our family and escaping the horrors of this war.

The amount needed is much higher as we have more than 10 individuals in the family (first cousins and their families) that are trying to escape this situation by making a living and moving on to a better future for themselves and their families. The money will be collected here in the US and then wire transferred (WU/MG) to Egypt directly the family householder, Zaid, or his brother, Abdallah.

Note: This was hard to write as the whole family has always been known for their great reputation and success in the clothing business and the retail industry. We lost our grandmother shortly after the war started. We have lost Watan-Tower, my fathers biggest project. We have lost 3 retails stores completely and 2 stores partially.
