Hi, my name is Kennedy and I’m the eldest son of a Family of 7 fundraising for our family cat. Kali is a Savannah cat that has been with our family for 14 years. She is a gentle and loving cat who has grown up alongside our family. She has always been a calm companion who loves exploring the outdoors, saying hello to all my neighbours and cuddling everyone she meets.

Just yesterday, Friday March 6, Kali became very sick and was rushed to the Atlas Animal Hospital & Emergency in Vancouver, BC. After running several tests and X-rays, the vet told us she has kidney failure.

At the time of writing this, Kali is now very weak and barely eating. We are currently giving her medications to help stabilize her and with eating, knowing at anytime her kidney could begin to fail, which makes things even more urgent.

So far we have already paid $936.62 for the emergency visit. This included the exam, blood tests, X-rays, urinalysis, fluids, and medications to help stabilize her.

The veterinarian recommended to keep Kali at the hospital for about three days so she could receive IV fluids, medication, and close monitoring, but we could not afford this estimated cost ($1,800).

Watching her struggle has been heartbreaking, and we just want to give her the best chance we can, because we believe she’s expected to live for another 4-6 more years.

Any support would mean so much to our family and would go directly toward Kali’s treatment and care. If we raise more than our goal, the funds will go toward her ongoing care and future treatment related to her kidney condition and giving her the life she deserves.
