My Family's Business was Burned in Chinatown Fire
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Daniel Feng – On Saturday, November 12th at around 8 pm at night, my parents’ driving school and notary office business in Chinatown caught on fire and the entire building completely burned down. It took 6 fire trucks and 2 hours to put out the fire. They lost everything - all their office equipment, important documents, customer passports, and a place to operate their business. They had no insurance.
They worked there for more than 30 years, to positively impact our community in driving license and notary jobs and now have to start entirely from scratch in their 50s and 60s. My parents cried at the loss of something they had been building for 30 years ever since moving to America to pursue their dream. We’ve had a hard time over the past few months due to the pandemic and this news is devastating to our family, especially since they have to financially support me and my 13-year-old sister in high school. Any donations, big or small, and even any office supplies or equipment, desks, chairs, computers, etc., and sharing this with everyone you know would help us immensely get through this tough time — Thank you.
