Help For The Jerez Family in Yonkers, Ny.

On Sunday May 23rd around 3:35 pm on Maple St in Yonkers, a fire broke out two buildings down from my family’s house . My older sister and I were on our way back home , we had just come from church.  

My 13-year-old sister called me and was panicking she said our house was filled with smoke . She quickly grabbed my 11-month-old nephew a went downstairs.  My mother and brother were also home and able to get out safely 

As we rode back home we saw the smoke from the highway! And as we reached our building we saw how bad it really was.  Our building was severly damaged during this fire. We were unable to go back inside. 

Thank God no one was hurt in this tragedy!  All families made it out safely. 

However, as a result my family is displaced. There was irreversible damage to our home. We lost everthing except what we could carry out in our hands. 

We are now looking for a new home, and would appreciate any help you can provide. No amount is too small.  Thank you for your help during this difficult time.
