My family tragedy got me fired

On September 7, 2019 my father unexpectedly passed away. I have been away from my home in New Orleans since late August as the sole caregiver of my mother who is quite ill with dementia. She currently lives in Florida. I am trying to get her back to New Orleans with me, but sorting through my dad’s life and my mother’s medical issues is no small task.  I have left my home, my boyfriend, my dog, my friends, my jobs, my business opportunities to run a household I know nothing about and to care for my mother. I had two jobs in New Orleans that have been telling me over these last six weeks to take all the time I need. Well last night, when I could not imagine handling one more thing, I was fired via email from one of those jobs. Now when I finally get back in hopefully a month or so, I will have one part time job and three months of paying my bills with my credit cards. This is most definitely the darkest time in my life. People keep telling me to ask for help so here I am now doing it.
