My family to meet our basic needs while I heal
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brittany. I am asking for help in fundraising because my family is in need. About me, I am 30 years old. I am a single mother and I have Parkinson's disease. My daughter is 6 years old. I was diagnosed in 2015. I have some family support, they help when they can, but I am still at risk of losing my home at the present time.
I rent an apartment for us and have lived independently since highschool. My lease ends at the end of the month. I cannot imagine not being able to provide for myself but am not well enough to work presently. My functioning capacity, memory, and cognition as well as movement is not at a level to be able to work and pay bills. I have had mild cognitive impairment since 2013. I am on disability (both types) and this helps afford a few of my expenses. The back pay I expected to get upon approval was taken to refund the SSI I was receiving. I was a caregiver for 4 years and worked in hospice. I had brain surgery, bi-laterally, in 2021. I have a PEG-J tube to continuously administer my dopamine replacement medication. I do not qualify for food stamps. To feel this unable, fear for survival, and desire for maintaining my independence...there has got to be something I can do more for us and for right now, that means asking for compassionate kindness. Even if only 1% of your total monthly income, I'd be grateful. Please share my fundraiser.
It's important to me that you please also understand, I do help others as often as I am able. I am a Christian and believe in charity and togetherness. I have a strong faith. I believe in self empowerment and doing what is possible, as much as possible. I am not lazy and have not given up.
My C.a.s.h.A.p.p. is $BrittSchurtz & V.e.n.m.o. is @Brittany-Schurtz
, if you wish to avoid GoFundMe fees.
I'd like enough for moving expenses, to cover getting into somewhere else and for food costs.
