Fired without cause. Please help us make rent!

Hi, my name is Emma, and I have the most incredible wife (Holli) and daughter (Hadassah). I am a VFX artist/Animator with over ten years of experience in the industry (this is starting to sound like a job interview...)

My job fired me only three weeks away from Christmas without warning or explanation. I had no reason to believe or expect this to happen. The severance they offered wasn't even a week's worth of compensation. Unfortunately, I am the only source of income for my family, and times are already hard.

I have reached out to the other studios I have worked with, but this isn't the season they usually hire. I am trying to be hopeful. I also have to be realistic, though. The truth is that I wasn't getting paid enough at my job, so we don't have much. There are a lot of expenses that I'm afraid we won't be able to cover, but the one I know for sure that we can't cover is...

RENT - $930

Hey, I get that that's kinda cheap for some, but not for our area - and certainly not for my wages! So I have set our goal for $1,000 in an attempt to at least pay rent and give me a little time to find another gig.

Suddenly losing all your income is awful, but that happening when you have a 2-year-old is devastating, and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. If you can help, my family and I would be eternally grateful.
