Hello everyone, Asalamu Alaykom..

My name is Mona Rasheed from Cleveland Ohio. I made this page in hopes to help evacuate my sick cousin and from Gaza and into Egypt. The cost just to leave ranges from $5,000-$10,000 per person and that is without medical expenses, transportation, and lodging.

This is my uncle, amo Jihad. He is paralyzed, cannot speak, and has now lost his hearing from the war. He needs around the clock care but unfortunately his at home nurse was killed by the IDF.

My cousin Yasmine who many of you may know found out she was born with 1 kidney when it began failing 3 years ago. I created a gofundme for her and was able to get her out of Gaza and she successfully had her transplant; although, it is now failing again and she needs dialysis 3 times a week which is difficult in Gaza due to the shut down of so many hospitals.

Every day the situation gets graver and more dangerous in Gaza. Our entire family has been displaced from northern Gaza to Rafah or Khan Younis and are living in tents or schools.. nowhere is safe! Their homes and businesses have been bombed. They had to carry whatever they could gather on their backs …and walk for miles to find refuge …they currently are without basic necessities to live including water, food, clothing, bedding and medicine. the IDF has cut off electricity and water and often bombs the bakeries and sources of food….most days there is no way to communicate with them—No internet connection or ways for them to charge a cell phone …sometimes i cannot reach them for days or even weeks to be able to make sure they are okay—I cannot describe how much this has devastated our lives and even our ability to function on a daily level for our own families here in Cleveland Ohio.
