Hi my name is Charlotte, I originally created a vinted post selling paw prints from my dog (bonnie) to help raise money. It quickly gained a lot of attention on there and people were suggesting I create a go fund me. In 2023 only three weeks after purchasing our home (two days after buying Bonnie) we flooded during storm babet. We had spent all of our savings buying the house, fortunately we had home insurance that has covered all the repairs. However the issue with the flooding remains a problem. Every time there is heavy rainfall our gardens and street fill with water, this is despite having flood defences. Every time getting closer and closer to the house. It has made me physically ill living here with the constant fear of the house flooding again. Every time we get heavy rainfall I have to move all of our belongings upstairs and go and stay at my mum's with two children and a dog. In the winter this is constant. I am about to start my second lot of counselling has I have developed panic disorder and agoraphobia caused by the stress of dealing with this house. We our trying our hardest to save money to be able to sell but as we all know living in England at the moment is a struggle. On top of my worries of the house flooding, last year I gave birth to a baby boy who had a heart defect requiring surgery within days of birth. He is doing well now but again it has been one thing after another since we purchased this house. I am so grateful to anyone that has even taken the time to read this and we would appreciate any help we can get. The support from people on Vinted has been amazing and I can't thank everyone enough
