My name is Brenna Laws and I am raising funds to help my daughter, Amelie.

On Friday, December 2nd, Amelie called and said her eyes were burning and she couldn’t open them. She was hysterical and in excruciating pain. I called an eye doctor and they got her in that morning.

Because of dry contacts, she had ripped off the top layer of both eyes, causing corneal ulcers. She would spend the next two days completely blind.

On Monday, December 5th, she returned to the ophthalmologist, the left eye was better but the right eye was still very painful and she couldn’t see out of it.

She was sent to a corneal specialist who told her the next 24 hours would need to be spent administering two strong antibiotics alternately every hour.

She returned to the specialist December 7th, and was told there was improvement in the eye and to continue the drops every three hours, and to add another drop because both eyes were infected with staph.

She is unable to work or drive for the next three weeks, I am raising money to help her make up for lost time at work and to cover medical expenses that she has incurred because of this unfortunate event.
