My Epic 2026 Peru Expedition – Fundraising

Hi everyone!
I’m so excited to tell you about the incredible journey I’ll be going on in July 2026! I’ll be traveling to Peru for a four-week adventure with Camps International and a few of my school friends. This isn’t just any trip—it’s a chance to make a real difference by working on amazing community projects and exploring one of the most beautiful and historic places in the world.
What I’ll Be Doing
While I’m in Peru, I’ll be working on projects that will help improve the lives of local communities. Here’s what we’ll be doing:
- Renovating houses to make them safer and more comfortable for families.
- Building toilet blocks to improve sanitation and hygiene.
- Improving schools so kids have better spaces to learn and grow.
- Constructing community centres where locals can gather and support one another.
- Reforestation work at high altitudes to help restore the environment and fight climate change.
And as if that’s not exciting enough, we’ll finish the trip with a five-day hike up Machu Picchu, one of the wonders of the world! It’s going to be an incredible challenge, but I’m so ready to push myself and take it all in.
Why This Expedition Is So Important
This trip is more than just an adventure; it’s a chance to give back, learn about a different way of life, and discover more about myself along the way. It’s going to be the longest I’ve ever been away from home (4 weeks!), but I can’t wait to get stuck into the work, meet new people, and grow in ways I never thought possible.
I want to make a positive impact on the world, and this is my chance to do it. By helping communities in Peru, I’ll be learning how even small efforts can create big changes, and I’m so excited to bring those lessons back home.
How You Can Help Me Get There
To make this dream a reality, I need to raise £4,720 by July 2026. This will cover the cost of my expedition, including travel, accommodation, meals, and contributions to the materials we’ll need for the community projects.
Starting today, 4th January 2025, I have 542 days (or 77.5 weeks, or 18 months) to raise the funds (that’s £8.71 per day from now until July 2026). I’m determined to work as hard as I can to reach my goal, but I’ll need some help along the way!
