Hello I am an international, first-generation college student currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at my college with a 4.0 GPA. Education has always meant more to me than just earning a degree. It represents opportunity, stability, and the ability to create a better future not only for myself, but also for my family and community.
Throughout my academic journey, I have worked extremely hard to maintain academic excellence while actively contributing to my campus and professional communities. I have participated in cybersecurity research internships, machine learning projects, leadership organizations, and entrepreneurship competitions. I currently serve as a Supplemental Instruction Assistant helping other students succeed academically, and I have been recognized through scholarships, academic honors, and national programs for my dedication and work ethic.
Despite maintaining my grades and continuing to meet expectations, my scholarship funding was unexpectedly reduced due to institutional changes rather than academic performance. This sudden reduction has created a major financial challenge for me and threatens my ability to continue my education without interruption.
As an international student, financial aid opportunities are already limited, and my family does not have the financial resources to fully absorb this unexpected cost. I have always tried to solve problems through hard work, persistence, and service to others, but at this moment, I need support from my community.
My goal is to build a career in technology and software engineering where I can use innovation to solve real-world problems, especially in underserved communities. I am passionate about technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and creating solutions that can improve access to education, healthcare, and opportunity for others.
