Hi, my name is Andrea and I'm starting this fundraiser to help fund my education and to ensure that my parents keep their home. Over the past few years my parents have faced many health challenges that have made them unable to work. My mother was diagnosed with breast and lymphatic cancer and my dad far progressive disc degenerative disease. This has made it so my parents are unable to work, as my dad is currently disabled and my mother is facing many side effects post-diagnosis. My parents are receiving government pay monthly, but their savings are draining from all the medical expenses and bills. I am working and have savings built up. I have been giving my parents funding to help with their expenses, but my savings are also draining. In January I am to attend school to further my career in hairdressing, but due to the OSAP pause, I am unsure if I can continue to support my parents and pay for my schooling at the same time. This career would allow me to better support my family, and in my area the public funded hairdressing programs have all been shut down. My only option is to attend a private career college to get my license.
