I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in September 2025. My aim here is two fold, firstly to drive awareness for men particularly over 50 years of age, to get an annual PSA blood test with their GP or elsewhere. I did that, I got ahead of the cancer with early detection, and I've now completed my radiotherapy in the Glandore Centre in the CUH and I'm on the road to complete recovery. So I have been lucky by early detection. So on Sunday April 12th from 1pm until 2.30PM I will be on the driving range at Bandon Golf Club in County Cork, if anyone would like to join me there for a few drives on the day and to make a donation to Aid Cancer Treatment who are based in the Glandore Centre in the CUH it would be great. People can also make donations directly to this page.
More information about Aid Cancer Treatment: Aid Cancer Treatment’s mission is to improve the health and well-being of individuals and families in their cancer journey through the provision of equipment, investment in research and comfort for those living with cancer in our region. Aid Cancer Treatment (A.C.T.) is a registered charity founded in 1983 and is a completely independent body whose members give their time voluntarily, thus every penny raised is spent to improve the facilities and services for Cancer Patients in Cork University Hospital.
Any support you would like to give would be greatly appreciated thank you, Andrew
