My dream, to become a Junior Olympian!

Dear Friends, Family, and Potential Sponsors,

My name is Lindsay and I’m creating this page for my 16 year old daughter Jasmine Fagan. Growing up Jasmine was known as “the fish” of our family, if there was water regardless of the temperature this little girl and now young lady was doing her favorite cannon ball with her baby brother in tow, He was copying Jasmine to get as many of us wet outside the water!! When it was time to get out these two with blue shivering lips, asked for just 5 more minutes!! Lol

Jasmine has been a part of the Merced High Bears Aquatic Program for 2 years and is swimming with the SKIP Summer program. Jasmine also participated in SKIP’s winter program. Jasmine joined her freshman year and has been in a pool all year around since then. Her dedication has superseded the expectations of ALL of her coaches! She has received the “coaches award” for her positive attitude, great sportsmanship, leadership, and always stepping up to help the team out by saying “ Whatever you want me to do coach”.

Jasmine got 3rd in the 2023 Central California Conference (CCC) Women’s 200 yard IM with a time of 2:37.32 for Merced High Swimming and Diving team!! After all her hard work she is getting the opportunity of a lifetime to go with the SKIP Summer program as 1 of 5 goalies to the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics!! This is a huge honor for this talented athlete. However, the cost of attending this prestigious event is steep. She has received a scholarship for $650 that includes all tournament entry fees, paying coaches,and travel for coaches. This fee does not include travel expenses, i.e Hotel, transportation, or food. The Junior Olympics are July 20th-23th located in Orange County, Ca.

Please consider contributing to help Jasmine achieve her goal of attending the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics. I’ve set the fundraising goal at $3,000 to cover Jasmine’s expenses to attend the Junior Olympics and represent not only Team USA but the Merced SKIP program. Any funds not spent will be put back into the SKIP program for future seasons and participants.

Here is a note from Jasmine: Hello! My name is Jazzy, I’m 16 1/2 years old and I just finished swim season with the Merced High Bears Swim team. Water Polo is my sport and I’m so excited to be back! I tried waterpolo last year as a freshman for the first time with coaches Kit, Weston, Max, Eccles, and Katie.I knew after my first season that this was what I wanted to do. Now with support from my family and determination to be one of the best goalies around I hope to go into college playing water polo. I am grateful to be a part of such wonderful teams. Representing Team USA is an honor that I do not take lightly. I promise I’ll make my coaches, teammates, family, Team USA, and friends proud of me! I am thankful for your donation and will do my best to make you proud!!!!!
