My Dream Move to California

Dear Ones -

My name is Elle Dowdy and as you may know, since my conversation with the person responsible for my daughter Emily's death in 2019 I have been commuting from Florida to California for extended periods of time to do the work of restorative justice. I have had the opportunity to visit men and women who are incarcerated and to tell them the story of how Emily's death impacted me, her family and friends. It has been amazing and rewarding work that has touched hearts and changed lives. I now have the opportunity to move to California! It is a dream come true! I will have more opportunities to do the much-needed work of restorative justice if I am living in California. Moving has proven to be a costly endeavor and I need help covering those expenses. The funds that I raise through this GoFundMe will be used for moving expenses such as transporting my car across the country and moving my personal items.

I am so excited at the possibility of living in San Jose, California near family, friends and the community of healing partners that I work with and the people on the inside. I am grateful for your support as I make this move. You will be a part of the Love I bring with me. I am grateful for your thoughtful help.
