My dream is... studiare all'estero!
Ciao a tutti! Mi chiamo Chiara, ho 16 anni e vivo a Trento. Ho organizzato questa raccolta fondi per avere la possibilità di realizzare il mio sogno: frequentare il mio quarto anno negli USA!
Who I am
Hello everyone! My name is Chiara, I’m 16 and I live in Trento (Italy). I’ve organized this fundraiser to have the chance to make my dream come true: attend my fourth school year in the USA!
Sono una studentessa al terzo anno del liceo scientifico. La mia media attuale è di 8.19 dall'inizio dell'anno. Do sempre il massimo in tutto quello che faccio, e mi impegno a rimanere costante con me stessa.
I’m a student in the third year of the scientific high school. My current average is 8.19 from the beginning of the year. I make my best in everything I do, and I’m committed to being constant with myself.
Ho questo sogno da quando ne ho sentito parlare e penso sarebbe una delle esperienze più belle della mia vita. Ho la sensazione sia una di quelle cose alle quali non si può semplicemente rinunciare solo per delle condizioni sfavorevoli.
Sono consapevole che potrebbe essere difficile, e onestamente ho un po' di paura, ma mi sento pronta ad affrontare la sfida.
I have this dream since I heard about it and I think it could be one of the best experiences in my life. I have a feeling that this is one of those things that cannot be let go of only for unfavorable conditions.
I am aware that it could be hard, and honestly I’ve got a bit of fear, but I feel ready to take the fight.
Cosa è successo
I miei genitori sono proprietari di un ristorante. A causa del covid19 hanno dovuto chiudere e da dicembre mia madre non lavora. Mio padre fa un secondo lavoro per mantenere la famiglia. Siamo però in 5, e non è possibile per lui aiutarmi a realizzare questo sogno.
What has happened
My parents have a restaurant. Due to covid19, they had to close and my mother hasn’t worked since December. My father has a second job to support the family. But we are 5 people, and it’s not possible for him to help me realize my dream.

La quota di partecipazione totale è di 12000 €.
Sono in lista di attesa per una borsa di studio offerta dalla mia provincia che possa aiutarmi, ma le graduatorie usciranno solo a marzo. A marzo sarebbe troppo tardi per iscrivermi al programma.
The costs
The total participation fee is €12.000.
I’m on the waiting list for a scholarship offered by my province that can help me, but the ranking is coming out only on march. March would be too late for me to sign up at the program.
Ho appena passato i test per poter partecipare al programma, ma per iscrivermi devo versare una rata iniziale di 3300€, e un'altra rata simile il 15 marzo.
Se poi non ottenessi la borsa di studio, oltre a dover rinunciare al mio sogno avrei perso anche questi soldi che sarebbero potuti servire alla mia famiglia, in quanto non rimborsabili.
I’ve just passed the tests to participate at the program, but to sign up I have to pay an initial installment of 3300€, and another on the 15th march.
And if I didn't get the scholarship, in addition to having to give up my dream, I would also lose this money that could have been used by my family, as it is not refundable.
Per questo motivo chiedo a voi gentilmente di darmi sostegno. Era da molto che non mi capitava di desiderare qualcosa così tanto. Si tratta della mia ultima occasione per realizzare il mio sogno.
For this reason, I kindly ask you to support me. It had been a long time since I had wanted something so badly. This is my last chance to make my dream come true.

Parte delle vostre donazioni verrebbero comunque utilizzate per lo stesso scopo, in quanto anche se la borsa di studio aiuterebbe, potrebbe non essere abbastanza.
What would happen if I received a satisfactory scholarship
Some of your donations would still be used for the same purpose, as even if the scholarship would help, it might not be enough.
Le donazioni rimanenti verrebbero donate a loro volta a qualcuno nella mia stessa situazione. Conosco molti ragazzi e ragazze che hanno il mio stesso sogno, e sono sicura che uno di loro ne avrebbe bisogno. Vi informerei ovviamente del nuovo destinatario.
The remaining donations would in turn be donated to someone in the same situation as me. I know many boys and girls who have the same dream as me, and I'm sure one of them would need it. I would of course inform you of the new recipient.
