My Dream Custom Silicone Mermaid Tail

Hi. My name is Tamsin, and I am raising funds to buy my Dream Custom Silicone Mermaid Tail.

For my day job, I perform my own Show in Aged Care Facilities. I perform song and dance numbers from old movies and musicals. The residents love it. As a full time performer, I don't earn a lot, and it is hard to save up for big dream items.

I'm also a professional Mermaid. I have several fabric Tails, and a couple of more fancy ones. Again, I don't earn a lot from being a Mermaid, as Mermaid gigs are a little few and far between. But I am always working towards more gigs. In between, I just love being a Mermaid for my own enjoyment.

I am currently onto my second silicone Mermaid Tail. Both were purchased second hand. All silicone Mermaid Tails are custom made to fit the original client. So, when you buy a second hand one, you have to hope that the stated measurements really are close to yours. My first silicone tail was so close. But the widest part of the tail (around the hips) didn't line up with the widest part of me. It was just that fraction short for me. I tried to extend it, but you can't change where it widens and then tapers back in.

My current Tail fits like it was made for me, but it isn't the colour scheme I would choose, and I find the foot pockets uncomfortable and sometimes painful, as it isn't the foot pocket format I would choose.

I did/do love them both. But they just aren't that perfect dream design and comfort I wish for.

I have always dreamed of having a custom tail, that includes the colour scheme I love, and is comfortable and made the way I need.

I want to order one from Mermaid Kariel. She makes amazing works of wearable Art. Her tails tick all my boxes. Her full custom tails are US$12,000. Which is roughly $18,447 in AUD.

She does have a cheaper option that starts at US$4000. (AUD$6149) But has additional costs for fins, monofin, shipping etc. It is also less customisable. This tail would still be amazing. But I would much prefer her amazing Legacy Tails.

I will eventually sell my current silicone tail to help contribute, once I'm closer to achieving my goal. And will sell some of my fabric tails too, to help. But it won't be enough.

Please help a Mermaid fulfil her dream of having the ultimate Dream Tail.
