Hello! My name is Silkie. I am putting myself out there in an attempt to raise funds to build my business.

I just opened a tiny boutique, SilkieFire, in Catskill, NY. I need capital to pay rent, buy more inventory and materials to create my own designs, and for finishing the decor/furniture/fixtures.

I don’t have an easy time asking for help, particularly considering what is happening in our crazy world.

However, I truly believe I have something to offer that is unique and special. Nothing would be more amazing for me than to finally be able to actualize my vision.

I am in the fashion industry, having worked as a stylist, designer and visual merchandiser among other things. Ultimately, I am an artist and have so many ideas I want to express and do.

I want to grow my tiny boutique into a styling company/team with many things to offer including sets, access to photo shoots and extensive wardrobe possibilities. I am most interested in the avant-garde.

As a stylist, I aim to continue finding the inner spark in each client/person. I am excited by helping others to feel comfortable in their own skin.

I have a focus on empowering women in business, sustainable practices, fair trade/organic/traditional fabrics and products.

I am interested in an inclusive approach to every element of my business.

Many people throughout my life have told me they thought I would be a good person to invest in. Here is a chance for the universe to match that message.
