12/31/22: Update on Sirius Black!!
Sirius has been discharged from the referral hospital after going under general anesthesia today for a MRI and spinal tap. He did great! The neurologist notes there is no apparent congenital defects masses or abnormalities on the scan. We will have to wait a few days until the spinal tap results come back for a full overview of the diagnostics. Matt Sirius and I want to thank everyone for their on going support as we continue to focus on what care is best for our beloved pug and take on the expenses associated with it. Happy new year!
12/26/22 UPDATE:
Sirius black’s clinical symptoms have gotten better enough for him to come home for monitoring pending a consultation with a neurologist at a specialty hospital. We are still not 100% sure the cause until we can get in for that consultation. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for your support and help with Sirius’s care.
Last night, Christmas Eve, my 2 year old pug Sirius had a scary episode - he couldnt stand up, his legs would splay and he fell over multiple times. He’s been admitted to an emergency clinic awaiting transfer to a neuro consult/hospital. As you may or may not know, veterinary speciality care (neuro in particular) is very expensive. I am asking for some financial help to offset the high bills we’ve already incurred just at the emergency clinic. Anything you might be able to contribute would be the biggest help. Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts!
