My name is Rukmalee ( Ruki ) and I've dedicated my life to rescuing dogs and running a shelter for over 15 years in Malwana Sri Lanka .. driven solely by my passion and personal resources. I've also been committed to feeding street dogs and supporting villagers with vaccinations and medical care for their animals. Despite the devastating cyclone and flooding in Sri Lanka that has left my shelter underwater, My dogs are rescued and are temporarily safe in a truck. I'm now on a mission to find temporary boarding facilities for them and raise funds to rebuild their home. I've never started a fundraising campaign before, but I'm counting on the kindness of strangers to help me get back on my feet and reunite with my beloved animals.
