Help my goofy happy good boy with his surgery. My sweet pup Moo Moo has a tumor that is wrapped around the backside of his right elbow, and the vet says the only way to remove it is to amputate. It’s scary, but it will give Moo Moo the best chance at a long, happy, pain-free life.
The tumor first appeared a couple months ago, I had a cytology of it done and since then had just been keeping an eye on it. In just a couple months time it has doubled in size and seems to be growing pretty aggressively. It is now starting to bother him he is licking and scratching at it. If I don’t get it removed then it can continue to cause him discomfort and he will have mobility issues as well as having the risk of it spreading and metastasizing to other important body parts like his lungs.
The estimated cost of this surgery is $8,000-$9,000, I am having it done at the veterinary hospital I work at so thankfully my employee discount will cut down on some of the expense.
The surgery is expensive, and honestly, I can’t cover it on my own (even with my employee discount ). If you’re able to donate or even just share this and send us some words of kindness, it would mean the world to me and Moo Moo.
