A few days ago I noticed my dog had a hard lump his side near his tummy so we immediately took him into the vet. Expecting the worst, we found out that it was actually an abscess that’s infected but being low on money, we couldn’t get him the surgery he needs. Instead, the vet prescribed us antibiotics that usually kill most infections but it’s been a few days since and we took him back for a check up, where we were told the antibiotics are not helping and the abscess seems to be more inflamed than it was previously, not only that but he also previously had a fever of 105 degrees which can be very dangerous for dogs. Since going back to the vet, his fever has not really gone down and it seems the antibiotics are the only thing that are really keeping it from getting worse. We really do not want to have to put him down and this is kind of our last hope, money is tight and especially with everything going on in the world at the moment. Any amount of money would help and would be greatly appreciated.
