Dear friends,
My lovely friend Eva has been living with Status Migrainous for over 50 days. This is a relentless neurological storm of very high, unending pain, little sleep, and vision problems that make it impossible for her to work—whether in her digital media and business development company or the more physical home care specialist jobs she would normally do to supplement her income. She is struggling day and night, with no real break from the symptoms.
I first metEva about eight years ago, and from the very beginning there was a natural connection between us. Over time, our friendship grew with care and intention, built on trust , gratitude , and mutual respect.
Eva is truly one of the most open and genuine people I know. She is caring, generous, and endlessly giving-the type of person who would literally offer you the shirt off her back without hesitation. I've witnessed her buy gifts for people she barely knows, and offer both professional and personal support to those facing difficult times, and without expecting anything in return.
On top of the Status Migrainous diagnosis, Eva has also been diagnosed with a compression fracture in her neck, which adds another layer of pain and complexity to her recovery.
She is fighting hard every day, while also seeing numerous specialists who are working together to find a path forward. The main recommendations right now are physical therapies of various kinds, which round up to more than $600 a week just to start, alongside other medical treatments not fully covered.
The toll has been enormous: Eva has lost weight, is on strong pain medications, and is really struggling just to get through each day. She needs a break — the chance to focus fully on healing without the added burden of financial stress.
Here’s where your help would go:
• Physical therapies multiple times per week (approx. $600+ weekly)
• Appointments with specialists and ongoing medical treatments
• Basic living costs while she cannot work due to pain, exhaustion, and vision loss
Eva has always been the first to give, and now she finds herself in a place where she could truly use our support. This gofundme is a chance for us to give back to an all around good human, to help ease her financial stress and her journey through this awful, painful and debilitating condition.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to Eva's bank account and directly support Eva’s recovery and give her access to the care she urgently needs. If you aren’t able to give financially, sharing this page or sending love and encouragement will mean just as much.
(Pictured above, Eva now often has to wear sunglasses and noise cancelling ear muffs throughout the day to handle everyday light and sounds.)
Thank you for reading Eva's story and for standing behind her during this time.
Best regards,
Juney
