Survivor of suicide loss
Donation protected
I created this fundraiser for my best friend, Ciera Savage. Ciera and her brother, Austin Savage, discovered the tragic and unexpected passing of their father, Michael Savage on March 19, 2019.
Ciera was extremely close with her dad, they talked almost every day. Mr. Savage loved Ciera unconditionally and offered her support in times of need.
The unforeseen death of her father has resulted in significant psychological and financial distress for Ciera and her family. Grieving the unexpected loss of a parent is hard enough without financial concern.
I created this fundraiser for Ciera, so she can grieve the loss of her father without worrying about the financial burden that was unexpectedly put upon her. Those of you that know Ciera, know that she does not like asking for, or accepting things from others.
Ciera works hard for her money, working with children with autism in Kansas City. Not only is she the best therapist out there, she is the most passionate and caring individual that I know, and she finally found a job that she loves. I would hate to see her leave this job because of financial stress.
I know that Mr. Savage will continue to love, support, and guide Ciera in heaven, but I am hoping that money from this fundraiser will help relieve Ciera of some of the financial burden she has experienced from this loss. It is difficult for her to grieve when she is constantly worried about paying for her rent, phone, utilities, car payment, car insurance, student loans, and medical insurance (Ciera is a type one diabetic, she needs medical supplies and insulin to survive). She also has to worry about the cost of funeral services for her father and travel expenses. Not to mention, the loss of income she will experience while away from work.
Anything that you can afford to donate would be much appreciated, and could really make a huge difference in Ciera's life right now.
