UPDATE – IMMEDIATE NEED:

My dear friend Becca is still struggling – physically, emotionally and financially. Her specific immediate need is $600 for some important medication that she has run out of. This is a 2-month supply. Any amount will help meet this need. Please contact me individually with any questions.

Becca has been very ill for 3 years ever since getting Covid in 2020 and has been unable to work. She lost her home last year and is now homeless. She has been diagnosed with Covid Long Hauler, Epstein Barr virus reactivation, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome. Her health has seriously declined and she is now barely able to function. She has over 30 severe symptoms including brain fog, memory loss, extreme fatigue, constant body pain, stabbing eye pain, joint pain, etc. Becca went to Vanderbilt for almost 2 years and saw 28 different specialists and had extensive testing done. She has also tried alternative treatments and therapies, but so far nothing has helped. The doctors have told her that there is no cure for Covid Long Hauler. She applied for disability and been denied twice. The next step is an appeal which is scheduled for March in front of an administrative law judge. Would you please pray for this and pray that the judge will approve for her to receive disability? If she does not get the disability, she doesn’t know what she will do. She truly wants to be independent, working and singing, but with her illness, it is unknown just how much she will have the stamina to do – barring some miracle cure.

The back story:

I have known Becca for many years and prior to Covid, she was an Executive Assistant and aspiring singer. She has an amazing voice and was pursuing her dream of being a full-time singer but it was abruptly halted by her illness. She would be in a very different place today if this illness had not happened to her. Losing her job, health, and home has been devastating and she feels hopeless. She is such a smart, kind, giving person and a very responsible overachiever. Having known Becca the way she was before this illness makes it difficult to watch her go through this – she was so capable, vibrant and full of life! Now she struggles to get through each day. She is in need of significant financial assistance to provide for her basic monthly bills, food, paying off numerous medical bills, and other basic needs. It would mean a lot to me to have this financial burden lifted off of her so she can focus on finding other possible treatments for healing. Becca is a strong believer who trusts God for a miracle to provide and to fully heal her. She appreciates your prayers for her healing and for the disability to be approved this time.
