Hi my name is Ash.
My wife and I are the proud parents of three beautiful girls
I wanted to share the story of my eldest daughters epic journey to food freedom that will look to change her life forever
Jemima has life threatening allergies of which she is anaphylactic to over 20 different food types as well as environmental allergies and chronic eczema and other health issues.
The severity of her allergies has had profound impact on her physical, mental and emotional health - it impacts her everyday life. It also has a profound impact on our families life too.
As parents we want and need to do everything we can to improve her quality of life.
Unfortunately we cannot get the level of treatment we need in the UK.
However for the first time we have light at the end of the tunnel where we can create a safer, healthier and happier life for Jemima.
We’ve been blessed to find the Southern California Food Allergy Institute (SoCal)
SoCal is game changing. It’s leading the way in allergy treatment and has a 99% success rate where by the end of the programme their patients can eat what they want, when they want without fear of having an anaphylactic reaction or worse, this is what they refer to as ‘Food Freedom’ something easily taken for granted…
The programme involves trips to the US every 12 weeks along with with daily treatment at home - with this comes the dream and reality of food freedom as well as reducing her other numerous health issues.
Jemima’s first dream meal .. Scrambled Egg, a doughnut, a Curly wurly and a Crunchie like her best friend’s favourite
She is 12 months into her journey and we can already the positive impact of the treatment. We have three year lefts to reach food freedom and a better life for her
Each trip costs c£5000 (the treatment itself, flights, accommodation etc) so with 4-5 trips a years that’s a cost of £20-25K a year.
Our second daughter, Penelope, also has been diagnosed with anaphylactic allergies as well other related health issues. SoCal have advised they can help her but we simply dont have the funds.
So far we have been blessed by the support of family and have been raising our own funds through selling personal possessions etc.
We’re now at the stage with the cost of living having increased dramatically that we need additional support to keep Jemima on the programme and with the goal of getting Penelope on it.
Your support will change our daughters lives forever. Any donations however big or small will be greatly appreciated
