Hello, my daughter Lydia's three year old son, my grandson Jeremiah, was diagnosed with wilms tumors cancer on both his kidneys and lungs. Jeremiah is receiving chemotherapy weekly and will eventually have surgery to remove one kidney. Wilms tumors are malignant but treatable and we are staying positive for a full recovery.
Throughout Jeremiah’s treatment plan, he will have a lot of doctor appointments, in-patient appointments and hospital stays. Lydia very much wants to be able to keep her life as normal as possible for Jeremiah and her other three children. Being able to stay home and take care of Jeremiah and being a full-time mommy will make life much less stressful and will help her to be the best she can be to get through this difficult time.
To top it off, about a week before Jeremiah was diagnosed with cancer, Lydia was in a car accident, her older son Joshua was also in the car. Her car was totaled by someone who ran a stop sign. Joshua is ok, but Lydia sustained back, neck and knee injuries and was unable to return to work for a week. Along with spending time in the hospital this past week with Jeremiah and missing more work, this has put a financial strain on Lydia.
We are hoping and praying that after Jeremiah’s treatments, which are expected to last six months, Lydia can go back to her routine lifestyle and return to work.
Thank you for your consideration of a donation towards Lydia and the kids during this difficult emotional time.
Please keep our Jeremiah in your thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.
