MY DAUGHTER SHANIA GOODMAN

Good day I am Thecla Goodman-Cassius. I am seeking to raise funds for my daughter SHANIA GOODMAN who was recently diagnosed with ACHALASIA. This is a rare condition that affects the muscles of the esophagus restricting entry of liquids and solids into the stomach. As a result of this condition, Shania has lost a significant amount of weight and has become very weak.

Altough not a cure Shania has undergone two endoscopies with dilation to help alleviate the condition. The endocopies with dilation have not yielded significant relief as the blockage persist. It is more apparent that surgery is urgently needed. Under medical advice the surgery is to be performed in Trinidad and Tobago. The estimated baseline cost is US$13,500, not including airfare, accommodation, follow-up care or incidental expenses.

Hence, I am appealing to family, friends, and kind and able samaritans for financial assistance. All donations will be used to meet medical costs.
