My name is Liz Turner and my daughter, Meghann, lost her entire home and all her personal belongings in an early morning house fire on September 14. 2025. Her two dogs were inside, but the firefighters got the dogs out. The oldest dog, Marley, required oxygen on the scene when she collapsed. The youngest dog, Baby, had some of her hair scorched along with her whiskers. When the two dogs were found, Baby was laying on top of Marley protecting her sister. We spent most of the day yesterday at the emergency vet in Tallahassee. We brought the dogs home, but they will need continuous follow up appointments with their veterinarian. These appointments are quite costly. The cause of the fire was arson. The man climbed on top of the trailer and set the roof on fire. He then climbed down and lost his pants. He stood on a nearby relatives' porch and watched the trailer burn. He was recorded on the relative's camera and was arrested at the scene. My daughter and her two dogs are living with me. She needs to buy new clothes, toiletries, and everything she lost.

She lived in this residence for 6 years as it has been in her Dad’s family for years. She worked very hard to make her home her own.
