Help needed to stay in WA with my daughter
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michelle Leslie, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart.
I am currently in Western Australia with my daughter Jaz, and I want to sincerely thank everyone who has donated so far—your support has made it possible for me to be here with her. Jaz is still in hospital and her recovery will be slow, but we’re staying hopeful. If all goes well, she should be able to leave hospital in about eight weeks and begin her next stage of healing at home. Once she’s well enough, she’ll need to return to Queensland with me so I can continue to care for her. In the meantime, I’m staying in a hotel close to the hospital, and any continued support—no matter how small—will help us get through this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
On Friday, May 23, 2025, my daughter was involved in a horrific car accident on the North West Coastal Highway in Roebourne, WA.
According to the Major Crash Investigation Section, a white Toyota Hilux and a white Toyota Prado collided just after 3:25pm. Tragically, both drivers – a 21-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman – died at the scene.
Inside the Prado were four female passengers, including my daughter. Two of them, including my daughter, sustained critical injuries and were rushed to hospital for urgent medical treatment.
My daughter needs me. I just want to hold her hand, tell her she’s not alone, and be her strength through this painful recovery.
Please, if you can help in any small way, I would be deeply grateful. And if you can’t donate, please share this with your networks.
From my heart to yours,
Thank you,
Michelle Leslie
