Hi my name is Sue and I’m fundraising for my daughter Bev and her family. They have lost everything but the clothes on their backs to a house fire on July 11, 2025, in Mississauga.

One of their neighbors got home early from work and found the house on fire. She went inside to get Bev & Braulio’s dog. She found her in the bedroom upstairs, in a room full of smoke, scared to death. She got her out safely, but she had to be checked out for smoke inhalation. I’m happy to report that everyone, including the dog, is okay.

They were renting the house so they did have contents insurance. When Bev spoke to the Insurance company they said the cost of the restoration company will be her responsibility. 

The restoration company will clean out the house and appraise the value of their belongings that were lost. It’s going to cost anywhere from $30k - $50k for this service. There is no way they will have enough left over to replace all of their belongings.

It would help them out a lot if you could donate even a small amount, to help get them back on their feet again.
