Amber was walking home yesterday after donating plasma to pay for her phone bill. While I was on the phone with her, she suddenly passed out and fell, breaking her foot. It was an incredibly scary moment for both of us, and now she’s facing foot surgery and a long recovery. Amber will be out of work for at least six weeks, and she doesn’t have anyone nearby who can help her during this difficult time. As her mom, I’m doing everything I can to support her, even though she’s all the way in California.
The funds raised will go directly toward Amber’s medical bill copayments, my plane tickets to be with her, food, and her regular bills and rent while she’s unable to work. I want to make sure she can focus on healing without the added stress of financial worries.
Anything will help. I’m just trying to get out to see Amber and at the very least help her with some bills and copayments. I appreciate everyone so much, and like I said, any contribution would mean the world to us. Thank you for considering supporting Amber during this challenging time. She’s the hardest working person. I know she has to walk over 2 miles to and from work and just won the employee of the month award for the entire facility which is the first time ever for someone in her department. I’m very proud of her and I feel horrible that I’m in a situation financially that I can’t help more and be there to help.
