My darling cat Bear has cancer and needs an operation
Donation protected
Hi this is Bear, my best friend of ten years.
UPDATE: Bear met the oncologist today and they think they can get the cancer out but they need to move fast as it's very aggressive. We had the lump removed from his chin and now they need to remove it from his thyroid. They think they can do that. On Monday he is scheduled to have a cat scan to make sure they can get it all - if they think they can get it all they want to keep him under and get it all out that day. But it's between 6-8k to do it all including radiation after. I don't have it but if only a small portion of my friends, family and tiktok followers gave just $1 we could make it happen. Our Vet is Dr Downing and the surgeon will be Dr Linda. If you don't feel comfy donating money here you can call the VCA at 1535 S Sepulveda Blvd 90025 and make a partial payment.
Thank you so much for your support so far. Please share this and help us save Bear's life. Thank you xoxoxox
We found out today he has cancer. I am absolutely devastated. My darling boy has cancer and I literally can't stop crying. Arghhhh. About 2 months ago he had what I thought was chin acne appear on his chin. But it suddenly got bigger and then his lymph glands got swollen. He was put on antibiotics for two weeks but nothing changed. He had a lymph biopsy and blood work done last week (already spent over $700 and maxed out my cards doing it) and it just now came back as cancerous cells. He urgently needs a more specific chin biopsy where the lump is, to see if it is carcinoma and another "tag" removed to see if that is melanoma. If it is then it's BAD news. It's terrible news either way and I am devastated. I didn't have pet insurance because I could never afford it and I'm a pay check to pay check girlie. If you could help in any small way so we can get this biopsy done asap so if there is any hope we can then get the lump removed. The $1000 will just cover this first surgery, the lab work and meds for after and then we will have to make decisions after that if we do a bigger surgery and have the lump removed but if it's carcinoma there is no point as it will get him anyway. If he needs chemo then that's a whole other cost but I can't make any of those decisions until we know what kind of cancer he has. I am devastated and heartbroken. I literally cannot imagine him not sleeping on the pillow next to me and meowing to me about how scary the wind and rain is. Please if you could help we can move quickly and hopefully save his life. Thank you so much and I understand everyone has different needs so if you can't help perhaps you could share with any cat lovers you know or just keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
