My Dad's Snazzy New Hip
Donation protected

My dad, Tom DuQuette, has needed Hip replacement surgery for 2 years now. When he was first told he was in need of a new hip, he had just started a new job and was unable to take the required 3 months off for his recovery process. Because of this delay, he is now in excruciating pain that is beginning to hinder his everyday life. The time is NOW! He has finally scheduled his surgery for the 20th of June 2017.

On behalf of my sisters and I, I would like to launch this campaign to hopefully cover the cost of surgery as well as lost income while he is in the recovery process. My dad works in home restoration and improvements, which means everything he does requires very physical labor. In result of this procedure, He won’t be able to return to work for an estimated 12 weeks. Those of you who know my dad, know he does whatever it takes to help out friends and family and often times even a stranger. He goes out of his way to take care of others; He does so much for our family and each of us girls, and now his five beautiful grandbabies. We would love to help our parents out the way they’ve always helped us by attempting to cover the cost of this procedure. In doing so, we have decided to humbly ask for help outside of ourselves to fund this life changing procedure that our dad is in need of. If you are able, we would appreciate your help greatly. More than you know. After the help of insurance, the cost of his two-day hospital stay and surgery will equal $6,100.00. Through healing and time off his lost wages used to support monthly expenses will equal around $9,000.00. We are looking to raise $15,000.00 in order to make this experience as stress free as possible. We thank you in advance for supporting this hip procedure for our super “hip” dad.
Thanks so much! ~ Elise, Audrey, Katherine and Rachel
