Hi everyone on March 14, 2019. My dad Vince went in for a simple gallbladder surgery at
St. Peter’s hospital and while in recovery he had a stroke. He then was transported to Albany Medical center for a 3 hr surgery to remove a blood clot from his neck and right side of his brain. The surgery was successful but left my dad paralyzed on the left side. From there he spent 19 days in the icu at Albany medical. My dad then traveled back to St. Peter’s for 2 days until he was sent to sunnyview for rehabilitation. There my dad only spent around 10 hrs until sunnyview transported him to Ellis Hospital because his 02 was very low and he had pneumonia for the 3rd time!!!! From the emergency department my dad spent 2 weeks in the icu at Ellis. And finally on April 17th after being at 3 different hospitals he is now BACK at Sunnyview!!!! Fingers crossed that my dad will be on his way to a full recovery with no steps backwards. ANYMORE !!! The whole family has just been through a lot in the past 38 days!!!
So as as many as you know my dad will not be going back to work anytime soon and will only be getting a small check from disability
($170 a week). And it just not enough to cover my dads medical deductible. I know everyone has been so thoughtful through many prayers ,text and calls to the entire family. And everyone keeps asking us what they could do to help out. Well here it is..... My mom is starting to stress with all the medical bills rolling in and my dad is stressing too by asking my mom at least twice a week What bills have come in so far???? I DO NOT want my dad to worry about this ANYMORE.... he need to ONLY focus on his health and not worry about the money that is no longer coming in since he is not able to go back to work anytime soon. So if I could get HELP from all of YOU and is able to help my parents out from this burden of medical bills it would mean the world to me and especially my DAD.
Again I just want to say THANK YOU AGAIN TO EVERYONE that has reached out to this ENTIRE family through this rough road we were dealt with a little over a month ago
