Hi, my name is Marcela Regalado, and I’m creating this for my dad, Jerry Regalado.

He’s currently in the Critical Care Unit, and his condition has become more serious than ever before. Over the past several months, he’s been in and out of the hospital, facing one health challenge after another. He’s already endured an amputation, suffers from ongoing heart issues, and has needed continuous care from different specialists.

Right now, he’s fighting for his life.

He is intubated, on a ventilator, and under 24/7 monitoring. He’s now battling seizures that were once controlled, but during this hospital stay have become unmanageable and dangerously out of control. At the same time, he’s also fighting aspiration pneumonia and sepsis, both life-threatening on their own. His body is weak and getting tired, but he’s still trying to fight with all he’s got.

More than anything, he’s always been the one to care for us. My dad, Jerry, is a loving husband and father to two daughters. He’s always been the one who did everything, taking care of us, supporting his family, and showing up for everyone else no matter what. He’s been the strong one, the dependable one, the protector. And now, being in a position where he has to be taken care of is something I know is deeply hard for him.

The cost of his care has become overwhelming. From constant hospital visits to ambulance rides, specialist appointments, lifesaving medical treatments, and daily medications, everything adds up quickly. We have been by his side through it all, but the emotional and financial burden has been extremely heavy.

We’re asking for help to raise money to cover the cost of his care, both past and ongoing. Every donation, no matter the size, would help ease the financial pressure and give us the space to focus entirely on being there for him.

Hola, mi nombre es Marcela Regalado y estoy creando esta campaña para mi papá, Jerry Regalado.

Actualmente se encuentra en la Unidad de Cuidados Críticos y su condición se ha vuelto más grave que nunca. Durante los últimos meses, ha estado entrando y saliendo del hospital, enfrentando un problema de salud tras otro. Ya ha enfrentado una amputación, sufre problemas cardíacos continuos y ha necesitado atención constante de diferentes especialistas.

En este momento, está luchando por su vida.

Está intubado, conectado a un ventilador y bajo monitoreo las 24 horas del día. Ahora también enfrenta convulsiones que antes estaban controladas, pero que durante esta hospitalización se han vuelto incontrolables y extremadamente peligrosas. Al mismo tiempo, está luchando contra una neumonía por aspiración y una sepsis, ambas potencialmente mortales por sí solas. Su cuerpo está débil y cada vez más cansado, pero él sigue luchando con todas sus fuerzas.

Más que nada, él siempre ha sido quien cuidó de nosotros. Mi papá, Jerry, es un esposo amoroso y padre de dos hijas. Siempre ha sido quien lo hacía todo: cuidaba de nosotros, apoyaba a su familia y estaba presente para todos sin importar qué. Ha sido el fuerte, el confiable, el protector. Y ahora, estar en una posición en la que necesita ser cuidado es algo que sé le cuesta muchísimo.

El costo de su atención médica se ha vuelto abrumador. Desde constantes visitas al hospital, traslados en ambulancia, citas con especialistas, tratamientos médicos que ayudan a salvar su vida y medicamentos diarios, todo se acumula rápidamente. Hemos estado a su lado en todo momento, pero la carga emocional y financiera ha sido muy difícil de sobrellevar.

Estamos pidiendo ayuda para recaudar fondos que cubran el costo de su atención, tanto la ya recibida como la que sigue siendo necesaria. Cada donación, sin importar el monto, nos ayudaría a aliviar la presión económica y nos permitiría enfocarnos completamente en estar a su lado.
