Hello. I'm here to ask for help to get my Dad's much needed surgery to help relieve his aneurysm. In the past few months, my Dad, Melo Santos, suffered from stroke and other complications from his diabetes. Last year in December, he suffered from a stroke which had him hospitalized for a couple weeks. We were able to get through his hospital bills which amounted to close to $8000 (400,000 in Philippine Peso). Last month, he was rushed to the hospital again for severe tummy ache. This is when we found out that he has abdomen anuerysm and gall bladder inflamation. The hospital wanted close to P500,000 (10K USD) just for the aneurysm surgery. That hospital charged us P150,000 ($3,000) to close his hospital bills there. So we asked to transfer him to a government hospital and see if he can get the surgery done for less but with same success rate. We were refered to a doctor at the Philippine General Hospital and was told that my dad needed the surgery asap because of the size of the aneurysm and it is close to rupturing. His doctor quoted us P500,000 ($10,000) as average expense for the surgery and everything else. This is why we are now asking for help. We are pretty much tapped out and have exhausted all the help my brother and his wife, my daughter, and I can get from relatives and friends. Any amount you can donate will be highly appreciated. As a daughter, son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, we want to see our dad get back to his previous bubbly and lively self. He loves to travel and we would like to see him enjoying what he likes doing again. We hope to get your prayers for his fast recovery as well.
