My name is Bekk I’m Carmen Ranno’s best friend and I’m blessed to have our little man Vin call me Auntie Bekk…
I Am writing this on behalf of Carmen, a devoted single mum of five who is unfortunately grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her husband and Vincent’s father Michael.
On 31st May 2025, Carmen and her 4-year-old son Vincent witnessed a devastating motorcycle accident that claimed his life. That day changed everything. Carmen now faces the unimaginable task of rebuilding their life—but more importantly, nurturing Vincent, who lost not only his dad but a solid sense of safety and his Daddy ‘His best friend’
Since that day:
- Carmen hasn’t been unable to return to full-time work.
- She’s coping with severe PTSD and is undergoing intensive therapy to heal emotionally.
- Vincent attends daycare four days a week, which is Carmen’s only stable anchor and a consistent safe space in his young life.
- Vincent it struggling with his emotions not just from witnessing this horrific accident but losing his bestie Daddy. Vinny takes this out on his loved ones especially Carmen, myself and grand parents. He is currently having play therapy.
Our goal is to ensure Vincent can continue at daycare through to the end of this year, while Carmen focuses on therapy and emotional recovery.
All funds raised will go directly toward:
- Daycare fees for Vincent until December 31, 2025—to keep a routine and sense of normalcy in his life.
- Therapy costs to help Carmen heal mentally and emotionally from witnessing such trauma.
- Family basics: covering household essentials like rent, utilities, and groceries, while she’s unable to work full time.
Carmen is an amazing mum and getting by with odd jobs and Centrelink but times are tough. Any help to make it easier would very much appreciate.
