Help with Funeral Expenses 4 Daddio
Donation protected
Thursday 12/08 our Dad Robert passed away. He was 83 years old. Dad, or Daddio as I liked to call him, was quite the character. Talk about a gregarious charmer! Dad could make friends with anyone, anywhere, any time, any place. An avid story teller, I remember saying goodbye at a family gathering for him would take 30 minutes. He was a social butterfly, always had the big camera on his shoulder, video taping everything. I’ll never forget when he followed me to my Prom. I was mortified. Now I wonder and hope I can find that video.
Early 2020, Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Shortly thereafter he suffered a stroke. Visiting him in the nursing home was so difficult, but more so for me because I know my Dad. He would have despised being in a home. But he required 24/7 care, so there was no other option. I’m glad he wasn’t of sound mind to realize what was happening. In that regard His memory loss was a blessing. Yet despite his dementia, the nurses would say, “He always says, ‘Oh you looking cute today!” That isn’t too surprising though. Daddy was a bit of a flirt, but respectful yet feisty, and always, always funny. Talk about no filter! But so refreshing. No subterfuge there.
He met my Mom when she was single with 7 children and in his opinion, that was fantastic! He loved my siblings as his own.
I am setting this up as a way to settle his affairs. If you can contribute with donation, please do so. Or even a prayer will do!
Thank you.
