My dad, Pat Hayes, who needs a heart transplant

Hi, my name is Dayton and my dad, Pat Hayes, was born with a congenital heart defect. He is headed to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute on Oct 19 for radiotherapy ablation to control heart arythmias, and then continue with pre-screening for a heart transplant. I'm hoping to raise funds to cover his flight, hotel, meals and transportation within the city, and any other household expenses he will need to cover as he will be unable to work indefinitely. At this time, we are unsure if he will need to make multiple trips to Ottawa, and the first trip is expected to be for 3 weeks. Dad has had 4 heart surgeries , including two that were open heart, the last when he was 27. He has never looked for financial assistance in the past but under these extenuating circumstances, he needs to not only get better but stay financially stable.
