Hello, my name is April and my dad needs a lot of help. A few years ago my dad was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. In november of last year, he was hospitalized because he couldn't breathe. The doctors discovered that the arthritis had begun attacking his lungs, which is very uncommon. It began creating so much scar tissue that his lungs slowly became less and less efficient. He has needed oxygen 24/7 since then and has been hospitalized several times because of it. His most recent hospital visit was in early September and he has been there ever since. He's in desperate need of a double lung transplant. He is currently at Duke University Medical Center going through testing and hopefully soon, the transplant. My mom has had to move there with him in order to take care of him because it's hours away from our home. Finding affordable housing for an unkown amount of time isn't easy and "afforadable housing" isn't so affordable when you have other expenses back home. Absolutely anything would help and would be appreciated beyond words. This is his only option left. Please send your prayers and thoughts his way for a successful operation.
