My name is Kayla, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my dad, who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. This diagnosis came as a complete shock to all of us, as it’s something our family has never had to face before.
My dad is a hardworking farmer who has spent his entire life putting in 12–16 hour days without complaint. He’s the kind of man who never sits still and always shows up for others. He’s also a talented Dj who throughly enjoys being an intricate part of weddings and birthday parties.
On March 13, 2026, I took my dad to the hospital after noticing he was jaundiced and extremely weak, despite having worked all morning driving truck. At the hospital, they discovered a mass on his pancreas. He was transferred to Riverside, where a biopsy confirmed pancreatic cancer.
He is scheduled to have a port placed for chemotherapy and will undergo further evaluation to determine if the cancer has spread.
Once treatment begins, he will be unable to work. For someone like my dad, that’s one of the hardest parts. He has always taken pride in providing for himself, and the stress of unpaid bills will weigh heavily on him during an already overwhelming time.
My dad is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, help anyone in need, and offer guidance whenever someone feels lost. To me, he’s my Superman. Seeing him this weak and vulnerable is something I never imagined, and it’s incredibly difficult for our family.
He has never wanted to be a burden to anyone, which is why I’m asking for help on his behalf. He has 3 children and 7 grandchildren who love him very much and will be his support system through this journey.
Any support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser, means more than we can express. Our goal is to ease some of the financial stress so he can focus on what truly matters: fighting this and healing.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and prayers.
