Help my dad, Jeff, pay for Chemotherapy

Donation protected
At the end of August 2022, my dad, Jeff Perry, was diagnosed with stage 3C colon cancer and had to have an emergency partial colectomy. During his surgery, they discovered that part of his colon cancer had spread to his small intestine, which hadn’t shown up on imaging performed prior to surgery. This caused the length of his surgery to nearly double, lasting over 9 hours and resulting in an 11-day post-op hospital stay. His surgeon likely saved his life with his discovery, but the additional trauma due to the length and intensity of the surgery has led to a long, painful, and difficult recovery period for my dad. Additionally, his oncologist has ordered 6 months of Chemotherapy, which he began on Oct. 14th.

Many of you reading this may know of him through his love of large format old school film photography, maybe you may have even bought photography equipment or accessories from him. He supports himself and his family through his business, 20th Century Camera, which he solely runs from top to bottom. My dad is a great dad and a great man. He is hardworking and dedicated, and he needs your help right now.

If you’ve made it this far, let me tell me a little bit about my dad and why he is deserving of your support. He has engineered, designed, or manufactured anything and everything you can imagine while overcoming his dyslexia during his formal education. When I was 6 years old, he made play-doh with me from scratch, using kool-ade packets for coloring and I have never wanted to eat play-doh more in my life, my goodness, did it smell delicious! When I was 10 he took up sewing and made me the most beautiful purse that was hand embroidered and had a 2-ft beaded strap, invisible zipper, and solid wood base that kept the purse square shaped but was so light that you didn’t even notice. Even now he uses his laser cutter & 3D printers to create joy in the lives of myself and my siblings by making us stamps of our favorite anime characters (My Hero and JoJo are our favorites).

My dad is kind, sensitive, and generous. He’s the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, he would feed you if you were hungry, he would hold you if you were sad or scared. He would help you because he knows what it feels like to be cold, to be hungry, to be sad, to feel alone. I am asking you now to help him, to help us, because I am not ready to lose my dad. I want him to see me graduate college and cheer for me as I walk across the stage to get my diploma. I want him to be part of my wedding and hear him say, “You found a good one”, during our daddy-daughter dance. Without your help and support, I may not get to have these memories with my dad.

Anything you can contribute we appreciate. I know how tight money is for everyone right now and can only hope and pray that this will be enough.
