My cricket tour to Sri Lanka with Devon County

Hi, I'm Lily Sargent,

I am on here as I am trying to raise money to go to Sri Lanka on a cricket tour with Devon County U15 girls. I have dreamt about going on this trip for so long and its finally happening. Last month I was informed about my selection for U15's Devon County girls, and was invited to go on this tour.

The 13 day tour to Sri Lanka takes place in February 2025 , it is only the second tour of its kind, so I am truly honoured to be on it. Cricket isn't just a summer sport for me it is a sport I play all through the year and train incredibly hard at for these moments and opportunities. This will be a key moment for not only my sporting interest, but a chance to experience another culture and create memories that will last a lifetime. The reason this is so important to me is in the future I wish to pursue a career in cricket.

There is an approximate total of £2,850 to fund my place on this tour. I am 14 years of age so it is difficult for me to cover the costs entirely myself. However, I am lucky to have my club, Chagford, to support me and help me raise some of the funds in other ways things we are hoping to do include; a quiz night, an official auction and I will be putting my pocket money in each month towards the trip.
