She’s a friend, she’s an aunt, a sister, a daughter, a wife, but more importantly she’s a MOM. I am starting this fundraiser in hopes to give this family, my cousin Jodie, the sister I never had, my 4 godchildren and her husband some much needed relief on upcoming bills and hospital expenses for a very life threatening surgery she must have on October 20th. I am asking if ANYONE can help, please please do. Here is her story!!!

“I don't even know how to start this post so I am just going to jump in…..

I have had headaches my whole life.

Started having neck issues.

Then my arm was hurting.

Horrible headaches turned to paralyzing migraines.

Neck pains causing tension headaches.

Throat swells to the point that I choke on liquids & foods. It's hard to swallow.

Voice goes hoarse.

Dizziness & on the verge of fainting.

My arm started to become weak. Dropping stuff.

Fingers giving out.

Not able to grip items. Accidentally throw them, drop them or break them.

Arms & hands get tremors.

I'm suddenly get exhausted.

I have moments of forgetting stuff I know. Or forgetting what I'm saying as I am speaking and or doing.

On top of a list of other symptoms. Everything was brushed off.

After seeing a neurologist for a year & many tests. Nothing was helping. I finally got an MRI that led to 3 more MRIs. So all together at this moment the past few weeks, I have had 4 MRIs.

I have something called Chiari malformation with a syrinx of 11mm.

(Above 5 mm is a severe case)

I was sent to a Neurosurgeon couple weeks ago.

I am having brain surgery Oct 20th.

Basically I was born with my skull not hardened like it should be.

My brain sags a little downward onto the spinal cord & it has blocked the brain fluid. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This has caused the 11mm cyst filled with the fluid. Called "syrinx"

The surgeon said he will remove a part of the skull to give the brain room to swell & breathe and hopefully get the fluid to drain out.

Being the syrinx is so large that if this doesn't work to drain the fluid on its own. I will have to go in for a second surgery & have a tube placed in my neck to run the fluid to another body part.

As large as it is and the way my brain is. The symptoms I am having. It is life threatening and I have no choice but to have this surgery as some body parts are becoming weak with other issues.

Over the years everything I have had health wise ... this is supposedly the reason for it. I can mark off everything on the list & more.

So I pray to god this helps & heals me

Please pray for my surgeon, the nurses & staff. Please pray everything goes accordingly & this is the only surgery needed.

Pray for me to come out of this surgery. To be strong & healthy. Physically & mentally.

To heal beautifully & quickly. To live a long healthy normal life with my husband as I should. Watching our children grow into adults. Make a life of their own.

Please pray My husband has the strength he needs. Health wise he is about to see me at my worst over anything we've battled together thus far. As well as our children.

Pray for my husband all around as he will be the sole provider again for a while and the struggle is real.

He will be the only parent getting things done for a while and he needs all the prayers he can get.

Pray for our children as only our oldest knows the true extent of the surgery. Pray for our kids to have strength & be patient with everything in life for a bit. To give us grace. Pray for our family as a whole - our parents,siblings,aunts, uncles & whoever else truly cares about us. .
